I really don' t want to talk about this

If I have to talk about the politics, I will say, I don't think any government is 100% correct. Everything is about benefit. All the fights, the war, the revolutions...are all because of benefit, although they are always covered by some other reasons. And the persons who want to seize power always use the students. The young people like students are easy to be incited. Young people are always used to be the cannon fodder for someone's political ambition.
Talk back this week's blogger should be about, I don't think any country and culture have right to change another country's culture and religions. Especially for the mid-east countries, everybody knows there is a lot of oil under their ground. So many other countries just want more and cheaper oil  from these area, they want to occupy these area or control the leader of the countries. They won't tell you this reason, they will tell you that the people are under the rule power, the religion is not a good religion... and they can help you destroy it. Look at Iraq, look at Syria, the old governments were overturned, but do you think the people there have a better life than before?

  1. I definitely agree with you here Min. What we teach kids in school here, it's very America-focused, rewriting our own history to ignore the worst we've done-- Native American genocide, the Kent State shooting, it wasn't until I started school here that I learned how horrible America has been in the past, I was astounded. And we exaggerate our role in international conflict, telling students that we ended world war 2, broke up concentration camps, when we really turned away Jewish refugees that later died in those camps, and Russia had a greater role in defeating the Nazis than any american history book will ever say. Politicians rely on Americans' lack of knowledge, stereotypes, propaganda in order to justify constant involvement in wars we have no business being in, to justify spending so much of our taxes on the military.

At the same time, we love to see America as a country of immigrants, a "melting pot" where anyone can begin a new life. We've forgotten our mistreatment of the Italian and Irish immigrants because it's convenient, because we'd rather treat anyone from a middle eastern or central american country like they're an inconvenience, like they're not true Americans. It really makes me mad.

  2. I loved the fact that you said you didn't want to talk about this, because it's a difficult subject based on the fact that just like you said, most of these acts are for money. For the upper power. The government wants us to hate others so we don't speak upon the fact that we shouldn't take what isn't ours or given to us. We all don't need to be the same to get along, money should be what drives us. I wish that many people read what you have said and learn a open their compassion when it comes to those that are different from us.
